Now the green blade riseth from the buried grain, wheat that in dark earth many days has lain;
love lives again, that with the dead has been:
Love is come again like wheat that springeth green
Let us pray:
John Macleod Campbell Crum Hymn 204, Hymnal 1982
ALLELUIA! CHRIST IS RISEN!
THE LORD IS RISEN INDEED! ALLELUIA!
Almighty and everlasting God, who in the Paschal mystery established the new covenant of reconciliation: Grant that all who have been reborn into the fellowship of Christ’s Body may show forth in their lives what they profess by their faith; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
Many thanks to everyone who made Holy Week and Easter at St Thomas such a beautiful and special time. Though the weather is feeling more like mid-March than April, and there’s thepossibility of a bit more snow in the days to come, we know that underneath it all the garden is already bursting forth with new life – come and see!
Peace and blessing
