Fill the Sills November 2022

St. Thomas Episcopal Church has a long tradition of community outreach both inside and outside our immediate community.  Adults and kids of all ages within the St. Thomas family participate in a variety of outreach programs including:

  • St. Thomas Fill the Sills –  Delivering food to local food banks after the Thanksgiving Season which is usually a big need at the local food banks.

  • Hunterdon United Way Tools 4 School Backpack Program - Assist in providing school supplies kits and backpacks for local needy children in starting the school year.

  • Episcopal Relief and Development  –   www.episcopalrelief.org  provides timely relief services around the world – including to the most recent victims of the Oklahoma tornados

  • Flemington and Clinton Food Pantries AND Frenchtown - Our Church School children raise money each year and purchase items needed by the local Food Pantries.  For their most recent trip, St. Thomas kids raised over $2,000.  They made their purchases making use of coupons and discounts, then delivered to the pantry and stocked the shelves.

  • Family Promise (formerly known as Interfaith Hospitality Network) – St. Thomas provides support in various ways for Family Promise which assists individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness in Hunterdon County. For more information go to https://familypromisehc.org

  • Raritan Watershed Clean-up - Our Church joins this annual Earth Day clean up of our local watershed. For more information go to https://raritanheadwaters.org
